Summary
Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap.

Conditions of Employment
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation.
Qualifications
- Must hold current certification in Lifeguard training or equivalent, Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguard Instructor or Aquatics Fitness Instructor from recognized agencies
- Must obtain Water Safety Instructor certification within 9 months
- Must be knowledgeable of emergency water safety procedures, policies, written instructions and directives
- Must pass an annual swim test demonstrating ability to perform the work
- Effectively meet and deal courteously with the public, present a neat, clean appearance and be able to exercise control over a group of people
Additional information
Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
