Duties
This position is located in the National Gallery of Art’s Conservation Department, which preserves the museum’s collection through specialized treatment, scientific research, and environmental monitoring. The Management and Program Analyst provide administrative and technical support of staff and programs within this specialized conservation unit.
Duties include:
Administer communications, information, and recommendations to support the Chief's decision-making process on programs and operations.
Digital filing and archiving of materials, ensuring systematic organization and adherence to best practices for digital asset management and facilitating efficient access to records and compliance with organizational standards.
Prepares/Writes presentations, project papers, and staff report to organize and deliver briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
Conducts high quality research, prepares and develops presentations, proposals, lectures, and briefing/position papers with a strong command of language and demonstrated knowledge of art history, science, and conservation.
Plan and manage conservation related activities for Exhibitions, Loans, Art Acquisitions, and Conservation special projects.
Review/evaluate requests from seven conservation and scientific research departments upon request of the Chief of Conservation to analyze, act/find solutions to problems related to Administrative Functions/Conservation of Art/Collections Management.
Leverages organizational technologies to achieve program goals, including extensive experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, TMS Suite, Project Management Software, and OneNote.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience Statement: Candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent in responsibility to the GS-09 level in the Federal service or private sector. Specialized experience for this position includes; a) Conducting research and generates reports on artworks for acquisition, loan, treatment, and exhibition, in support of a museum or cultural institution; AND b) Experience with digital asset management programs for art collections and conservation; AND c) coordinating conservation assessments, proposals, loan evaluations, and treatment reports for a museum or cultural institution; AND d) performing a variety of analytical and evaluative tasks in support of the overall administrative functions for a major organization or institution.
OR
a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, LL.M., if related
