Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding; or specified categories of critical problem issues associated with one or more fielded systems.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes: 1) Executing cost, schedule, performance, and risk activities within the acquisition life-cycle framework; 2) Coordinating acquisition support activities necessary to meet program objectives; 3) Performing periodic reviews of financial execution to include obligations and expenditure; and 4) Experience with Defense Cooperative, International programs, Foreign Military Sales, or Direct Commercial sales.
This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level NH-02(GS-11) position in the federal service.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Additional information
- This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
