This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications In addition to the basic education requirements, applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications: FOR GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing engineering test data; 2) Writing technical engineering reports 3) Performing engineering calculations; 4) Analyzing technical information for accuracy; and 5) formulating test plans to ensure scientific accuracy. OR 1 year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement, that is directly related to the position. FOR GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting cost estimates and feasibility studies; 2) Reviewing design proposals; and 3) Reviewing reports of failures and recommending remedial action. OR 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree, that is directly related to the position.
