Nurse Practitioners - Neurosurgery

We are currently seeking Nurse Practitioners with prior neurosurgery experience for immediate F/T opportunities.   Our ideal candidates will be flexible, willing, and able to work a combination of days, nights, and weekends.

DUTIES:

• As a Nurse Practitioner in our Neurosurgery Department, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of care, including medicine, pre-op, post-op, and discharge responsibilities. Additional responsibilities will include:
• Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
• Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans.
• Ordering and interpreting lab tests
• Counseling patients
• Performing various medical procedures and assisting in surgical operations.
• Conferring with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.

REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Graduate of an accredited NP program, required.
• A licensed Nurse Practitioner by the New York State Department of Education is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

SALARY: $ 65.31/hr. - $73.541 DOE      Plus, Shift Differentials &  Full 1199 Benefits
