Summary
You will serve as an Environmental Protection Specialist in the Environmental and Health Services Office of the Center Operations Directorate at the Stennis Space Center (SSC) working within an environmental team with contractor support. The work includes performing administrative or program work related to environmental protection programs (e.g., protecting and improving environmental resources, remedying environmental damage, and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations).

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level:
Analyzing environmental issues to assist an organization in environmental compliance and prevention issues;
Managing a site-level environmental compliance or natural resources management program to ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements; and
Participating in the development of organization environmental planning and compliance programs with site, agency and regulatory stakeholders.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
Utilizing environmental laws and regulations to assess and analyze environmental issues and assist an organization in environmental compliance and prevention issues;
Managing multiple site-level environmental compliance or natural resources management programs to ensure the site understands and meets regulatory and agency requirements; and
Participating in the development of organization environmental planning and compliance programs with site, agency and regulatory stakeholders.
