ABOUT THE POSITION

Job Title: Two Year Program for Investment Research Role

Location: New York, NY

Position: Do you like asking lots of questions to learn more about something? Do you love doing in-depth, investigative research on myriad topics? Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and like learning about businesses? Then this might be the position for you. GQG Partners is looking for inquisitive individuals new to the field that are looking to start their career doing something they love.

We are strong believers that diversity of background and thoughts are key to the success of our company, and as such, we are always looking to expand the team with folks who have lived through different experiences and bring in a different view of the world.

This is a unique opportunity for graduate students in journalism or liberal arts who love the research and investigating portion of writing. Graduates in the following majors are also encouraged to apply: psychology, history, political science, anthropology and business. We are flexible in accepting other majors for those who feel they would make a good fit and have the right personality for the job.

What you need: GQG is looking for a quick, self-motivated learner who is excited about the possibility of working with a team of former journalists turned analysts to do in-depth reported research on publicly traded companies worldwide.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Someone with great people skills who isn't afraid to pick up a phone.
• Someone who is very inquisitive and hungry to learn•
• Someone who is politely persistent when need be.
• A Google and search engine whiz who can dig around and click to find the answers.
• The ability to write succinct, grammatically correct and professional emails for research purposes.
• A willingness to learn and adapt practices as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.

• Graduate students in journalism, communication or liberal arts (or the desire to talk to people openly and in-depth with others) are a plus but not required. Other graduate majors will be considered.

BONUSES:

• If you've ever written or done work in the technology or business-related fields or simply enjoy reading about those topics more than your peers.

• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.

ABOUT THE GIG:

• This is a full-time, two-year entry-level position with the possibility for continued full-time employment once the initial position has ended.
