Blackstone GP Stakes manages approximately $11 billion of AUM and acquires minority ownership interests in leading private equity firms ("GPs"). This is a direct private equity investment strategy focused on alternative asset management as a sector, benefiting from strong secular trends in capital allocation toward private-market alternative assets and employing Blackstone's disciplined and value-oriented "core" approach to investing. We seek to invest in institutionalized GPs with a competitive edge, where we are well-positioned to deliver strategic value by leveraging the broader Blackstone platform. Job Title: Summer Analyst - GP Stakes

Job Description:

Blackstone's GP Stakes Group offers Summer Analysts the chance to evaluate and engage in investments in a variety of private equity firms and other private-market alternative asset management firms. The investment process develops both the financial analysis of investment banking and the strategic thinking of management consulting together with a "principal" mindset. As a result, our Summer Analysts have the opportunity to develop a well-rounded and comprehensive skill set in business and to learn firsthand about a wide range of private equity firms and strategies.

Summer Analysts at Blackstone have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a given project and be staffed on a number of assignments at once. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, Summer Analysts can assume integral roles on deal teams. Summer Analysts are involved with the due diligence, evaluation, structuring, and financing of transactions and regularly attend internal meetings, management sessions, and negotiations.

This is an opportunity for an extraordinary performer who has already mastered accounting, financial, analytical and research skills through academic work and professional and other experience.

• Investment research.
• Financial analysis, valuation, and modeling.
• Industry and competitive analysis.
• Business diligence.
• Drafting of memoranda for internal and external use.
• Assistance in the execution of transactions.

Qualifications:

Expected annual base salary range:

$110,000 - $110,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
