2023 Global Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Strategy Intern

About This Role

This position is aligned with Zoom's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team. The qualified candidate will be a self-starter who is meticulously organized and able to coordinate and track information for multiple projects at a time. Working alongside the greater People Experience (HR) team, you will be involved with events planning, creating immersive experiences for our program and ensuring that we are offering cutting-edge programming.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Writing email, chat, and social media communications for our ERG events, cultural moments, celebrations, and critical event responses
• Support event planning and execution, including panel ideation, participant outreach, question and interaction planning, webinar setup, and any onsite coordination
• Collaborate with employee resource group leaders to plan compelling programming around Juneteenth, Pride Month in June, Disability Pride Month in August, and any other programming requests from our ERGs
• Research and report on various aspects of the growing diversity, equity, and inclusion space, including the impact of AI on various communities and the future of trans rights
• Connect with internal leaders from various parts of the business, including finance, communications, sales, and operations to evangelize diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
• Work with the product management team to ensure accessibility and inclusion for upcoming Zoom product releases
• Manage projects at a global scale to advance DEI at Zoom

Basic Qualifications:

• Applicants must be currently enrolled in an educational program and working towards a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Sustainability, or a similar degree in a related field

• Passion for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion topics
• Eagerness to research and learn about new aspects of DEI
• Writing, editing, and creating communications on platforms like Canva, Google Suite, and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Experience composing presentations and other visual media for business cases, project plans, and other proposals
• Interest in human resource management topics such as compensation, recruiting and talent management, benefits, HR business partnering, etc.
• Excitement about software and interest in learning more about the SaaS industry
• Interest or experience in event planning, including panel ideation, writing, execution, management, and communications
• Willingness to accommodate global hours in order to collaborate with extended team members
• A passion for Zoom's mission, vision, values, and culture

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$22.25
Maximum:
$74.00
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
