The Strategy, Product, and Analytics Leadership Program Internship is designed for graduate students to enhance and build skills and knowledge necessary to begin a career in banking and finance. Learn to leverage analytical and strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions that align with customer needs and values through extensive hands-on experiences. You'll gain experiences in setting product strategies and creating roadmaps, setting the strategic direction and initiatives for key areas of the bank, employing modeling techniques and completing quantitative analyses. This is a paid professional development opportunity where you'll learn Fifth Third Bank's business practices, operations, and procedures, and build skills you need to prepare for a robust career in with one of the top financial service institutions. Housing assistance is available to eligible interns. The internship program is structured in a 10-week format over the course of the summer. Upon completion of the internship program, your performance will be evaluated for an opportunity to join the full-time Strategy, Product & Analytics leadership program in 2024.

You will be responsible and accountable for risk, encouraged to openly exchange ideas and opinions, elevate concerns, and follow policies and procedures to safeguard the company. Doing the right thing for customers and colleagues is key; you'll ensure their actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience, achieving real results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

This internship helps graduate students gain meaningful work experience and targeted educational opportunities to develop as future organizational leaders and get exposure to multiple business areas. Gain on-the-job skills and an understanding of the real-life work environment, while developing a professional network that includes some of the best talent in the industry.

What You'll Do

The Strategy, Product, and Analytics Internship provides meaningful work experiences for recent college graduates, helping them bridge the gap between the classroom and real professional experience. Creating targeted educational experiences in a real-world environment, the program gives you a more varied look at what makes a professional environment work.

You'll work on projects for Fifth Third Bank, receiving feedback and an evaluation based on accuracy, completeness, and through meeting applicable deadlines. You'll also have an opportunity to receive mentoring from industry professionals, have exposure to executive leadership and participate in social and networking activities. At the conclusion of the internship, you'll present your overall experience to the senior leadership team, including key concepts learned and an overview of each project.

Job responsibilities may include the following:

All Departments

• Participate in the creation of presentation of data insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Work with assignment leader to monitor, organize and report research and analysis of industry, company, customer, and channel data to support market assessment and identification of key strategic trends.

• Engage with research team to define and implement customer usability testing, concept validation, and co-creation studies to gain insights and identify customer needs and solutions.

Strategy and FinTech

• Participate in the creation of presentation materials containing complex and challenging business issues for management and lines of business executives that clearly articulates issues, conclusions and implications.

Digital Product

• Assist in identifying and developing appropriately detailed specifications for product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum team on all new feature development, including building backlog, contributing to/reviewing/approving user stories, sprint support, and QA testing; including participating in agile team ceremonies such as sprint reviews/demos.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Currently enrolled in MBA or equivalent master's level program at the time of application with a conferral date between December 2023 - August 2024
• 2+ years of full-time industry work experience, which occurred between the conferral date from your undergraduate program and prior to starting your MBA or master's program, OR 2+ years of military work experience prior to starting your MBA or master's program.

• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Basic Excel proficiency (data entry, formatting, charts, basic formulas, Vlookup)
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in critical thinking, leadership, business acumen, relationship building and teamwork experience through extracurricular activities, work experience or academic pursuits
• Experience working in Agile development preferred
• Ability to have fun and a willingness to try new things and challenge the status quo.
• Effortlessly collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem solving.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work through complex concepts/data and present well thought-out, simple solutions
• Ability to self-motivate and work well independently and with different teams.
• Strong presence with ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization
