2023 Scientific Fellowship Program

In the medical field, fellowships refer to a period of post-graduate, on-the-job training.

Science and healthcare are core to our focus at Spectrum, so we’ve adopted an inner agency “teaching hospital” training model which starts with the Fellowship Program.

This is a full-time position. Your first 6 months will focus on learning about Spectrum, healthcare communications, our clients and their brands. This will be accomplished through on-the-job training and a custom-designed training module for our Fellows.

We are looking for a recent college graduate to join our 2023 Fellowship Program on our Scientific Strategy team!
 

Spectrum Fellows will have the opportunity to:

• Participate in specific training programs relevant to their job function and the industry
• Support innovative brands and clients in the healthcare space
• Work collaboratively as a member of an interwoven team to showcase their skills in a capstone project to the agency
• Receive guidance and mentorship from some of the best and brightest in the business
• Have fun and get to know their colleagues via specific Fellowship Program events

Qualifications:

• Must be a 2023 graduate of a PharmD or PhD program
• Able to start working full-time in July 2023
• Have a strong interest in healthcare and/or healthcare communications
• Prior internship experience preferred
• Hardworking, self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Able to meet deadlines, appropriately manage time and think creatively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience researching, assessing, formulating, and presenting scientific information
• Able to distill complex scientific information into clear and concise communications
• Highly collaborative as well as independently driven
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

The anticipated hourly rate for this position will be $31.25/hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay. This is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.

You choose where you work. We are a hybrid work environment with options to work in one of our four offices (Washington, DC, New York and Chicago), remotely anywhere in the United States, or a combination.
