The Global Solutions Engineering team at Zoom are the technical experts of the Sales organization. The Technical Competitive Strategy group is part of Global Solutions Engineering, and our mission is to arm sales and product by proactively tracking competitive threats with strategic impact to Zoom's revenue org. In other words, we focus on analysis of the competitive landscape and understanding market trends to improve Zoom's technical go-to-market strategy. We are truly both, a Technical and Business impact function.
We are looking for an individual with competitive passion, software development, coding experience, and business impact vision to help us build a custom made program for Sales and Product Management.
Our Global Emerging Talent Intern Program offers additional support through dedicated mentorship, technical trainings, a leadership speaker series and team specific events. This paid internship is for a duration of 12 weeks during the summer of 2023. The program offers cutting edge projects, as well as a mix of additional types of learning in areas of leadership and business acumen-- and is packed full of fun!
What you will do:

• Help develop custom based programs of Zoom's Technical Competitive Strategy team, to provide value to the Sales and Product Management organizations
• Hands-on development of the application and relational database
• Obtain feedback and input from all relevant constituents to shape the direction of the tools
• Gain expertise, not only on Zoom's core products, but also on top competitors

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a four year academic institution completing an undergrad, grad, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Experience with programming in Python and relational databases
• Understanding of computer networking topics: IP stack, addressing, TCP/IP, DNS, Sockets
• Flexibility and willingness to learn!

Bonus Qualifications:

• Understanding of relational databases. e.g. SQL, MySQL, Quickbase.
• Understanding of real-time computer vision. e.g. OpenCV
