Job Description

ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell $25 active sunglasses for everyone. No slip, no bounce, all polarized, all fun. Interested in joining our summer internship program? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: We have a hybrid working policy. After the first 30 days in office, interns are only required to be in the office 3 days per week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Ever wonder how a pair of sunglasses are produced, or how some wild, out of the box ideas like pink furry frames become a reality? Maybe you are asking yourself how in the world a company would let a flamingo named Carl be the CEO. Well... look no further! goodr is calling all flaminglets--that's a baby flamingo for those of you who don't know--for our 2023 Summer Internship Program!

At goodr we show up unabashedly ourselves, own our own sh**t, and like to get things done. We want our interns to do the same during the summer program at goodr. Become a flamingo for 8 weeks from June 20th, 2023 - August 11th, 2023. Did we say bragging rights? We did! This full time, paid internship position offers you real life experience and skills that you can apply towards any future career. You will get to spend time shadowing each team (aka flock) within your desired herd (yes, our departments are called herds) throughout your internship while providing support on various projects, attending weekly meetings, participating in trainings applicable to that herd, and learn to fly! Ok... maybe not the last one in the literal sense, but we do aim to help you soar during and after your time at goodr. That's not all! Alongside your fellow interns, you will get to work toward a final project that will make all the flamingos at goodr SQUAWK with appreciation and applause.

If you are ready to dive in, learn and grow, and ask questions, then this internship is for you! Come join our flock and begin exploring the ins and outs of what it means to be a goodr flamingo!
