Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RIS) has an entry level Systems Engineer I position for recent college graduates to join and expand our Systems Engineering and Integration Team (SEIT) located in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position will work to develop solutions to solve customer needs by providing customized engineering services and products for unique customer missions.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide basic support developing and documenting requirements and interfaces
• Provide basic support developing, documenting, and executing system verification to show compliance
• Integrate software and hardware subsystems
• Follow a structured data driven approach to solve problems
• Contribute to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of the immediate supervisor and team leads
• Follow established SE processes and procedures

Security Clearance & Other Requirements:

• Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the requirements to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Requirements:

• This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Ability to apply basic engineering principles, theories, and concepts
• Successfully develop solutions to routine technical problems
• Ability to work in a multi discipline team environment
• Articulate status and results
• Possess strong written and oral communication skills

Desired Requirements:

• Previous Engineering project and internship experience
• Exposure to requirements development, derivation, and management
• Exposure to integration of software and hardware subsystems
• Exposure to security engineering concepts and practices and the software development life cycle
• Exposure to Aerospace platforms / systems
• Ability to research and distill data into meaningful information
• Experience using MS Office Suite of tools
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (Please upload an unofficial transcript when applying)

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree obtained by Spring 2023
• Majors in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical), Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a closely related STEM field will be considered for this role.
