In the medical field, fellowships refer to a period of post-graduate, on-the-job training.

Science and healthcare are core to our focus at Spectrum, so we’ve adopted an inner agency “teaching hospital” training model which starts with the Fellowship Program.

This is a full-time position. Your first 6 months will focus on learning about Spectrum, healthcare communications, our clients and their brands. This will be accomplished through on-the-job training and a custom-designed training module for our Fellows.

We are looking for a 2023 Fellow to join our Technology team!

This role is an exciting and unique opportunity to help define, create, and deploy the technology solutions that keep Spectrum ahead of the curve. You will use your knowledge of the evolving digital world to identify and solve pain points within the agency, and to enhance & administer our existing suite of tools & platforms. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, creative problem solving, and a strong technical background, as you will be interfacing with products from back- to front-end, in addition to stakeholders across a range of digital experience. You will also support the architecture and administration of company-defining best practices including data governance, product life cycles, iterative development, and more!

Spectrum Fellows will have the opportunity to:

Qualifications:

• Must be a 2023 collegiate graduate
  • Preferred majors include: Computer Science/Engineering, Math/Statistics or similar
• Able to start working full-time in July 2023
• Have a strong interest in [bringing technology to] healthcare and/or healthcare communications
• Experience with development languages such as SQL, Python, R, PHP, HTML, etc. preferred
• Experience with Regex, APIs, Booleans, Excel queries, etc. preferred
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, Domo, etc. preferred
• Prior internship experience preferred
• Highly analytical, exceptionally detail oriented, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to meet deadlines and appropriately manage time
• Creative thinker who regularly breaks the boundaries of “the box” and consistently looks for & finds opportunities to improve current capabilities and processes
• Fast learner with excellent written and oral communication skills

The anticipated hourly rate for this position will be $24.04/hour. This position is eligible for overtime pay. This is based on job-related factors such as: years of relevant experience, qualifications and/or certifications. Spectrum reserves the right to modify this pay range at any given time.

You choose where you work. We are a hybrid work environment with options to work in one of our four offices (Washington, DC, New York & Chicago), remotely anywhere in the United States, or a combination.
