Business Unit Overview:
Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (BAAM®) manages approximately $79 billion across a diversified set of businesses, including a customized portfolio solutions business, a special situations platform, a business that purchases GP stakes in alternative asset managers, an open-ended mutual fund platform, and an emerging manager seeding business. BAAM invests across a variety of asset classes and strategies to create solutions for its investors. Through its sharp focus on clients' goals, a rigorous due-diligence process and access to Blackstone's global insights, BAAM strives to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns across market cycles while mitigating downside risk during stressed market environments.
Program Description:
Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is 10-weeks in length and will provide participants broad exposure to the Firm. The Summer Analyst Program offers various technical and soft skill training opportunities, the ability to network with professionals across all business units, and a chance to fully immerse themselves in the Blackstone culture.

Strategy & Investments:
The Strategy & Investments group focuses on strategic initiatives and business development across BAAM's investment, client coverage and operations groups. The group works across all BAAM businesses, including BAAM Portfolio Solutions, Special Situations, GP Stakes, Liquid Strategies Group, and Horizon (crossover equities).
Product Management:
The Product Management group collaborates with division leadership on idea generation and leads research, design, launch, and all associated execution activities for new investment products and solutions. The team also oversees process management and drives content creation and analytics for investment products and solutions, including execution of both new and regular marketing collateral.
ESG:
The ESG team leads many environmental, social, and governance initiatives across BAAM that guide our approach to investing. The team develops ESG policies, improves existing programs, communicates ESG practices, acts as a resource for Blackstone investors, and utilizes technology tools to enhance reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities will include -
- Conducting industry research and competitive analysis
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Developing marketing and communication materials
- Creating and delivering presentations
- Producing reports and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders
- Project management
The successful candidate must have:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Excellent attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity
- Good judgment
- Motivation and proven interest in alternative assets (e.g. hedge funds) and/or ESG
- Working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint

- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student
- Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2024 - Spring 2025
- Resume must include expected graduation month/year and GPA

Expected annual base salary range:
$100,000 - $110,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
