Early Talent Intern - MBA
The Intern Program job gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups to better understand the organization. Over the 10-week summer internship program, this job participates in a robust training and onboarding program followed by an ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities. This job may have the opportunity to work in the follow business areas: Technology, Asset Management, Financial Analysis/Accounting, Audit, Risk and Compliance, Human Resources and Advice and Client Relationships.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Performs clerical duties such as organizing documents, maintaining files, photocopying, faxing, etc.
- Assists in preparing information and research materials, including Powerpoint presentations.
- Takes notes during meetings and provides to team members.
- Researches and gathers documentation as directed by colleagues.
- Attends company functions, including trainings programs, speaker series, lunch-and-learns and social networking events that provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.
- Shadows multiple office jobs and trains in a variety of tasks.
- Gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Designed for rising first year MBA students, the 10-week MBA summer internship program is designed to challenge students by providing hand-on experience, skills training and valuable professional networking to assist students with identifying and building their career interests. This role gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, exploring business-specific tasks, and working closely with cross-functional groups.
Product Manager MBA Interns at TIAA help build products that empower customers to achieve financial wellness and employees to serve our customers. Product managers are at the center of TIAA's mandate to bring cutting-edge technology to the challenges of financial services. They are strong collaborators and communicators, comfortable working on cross-functional teams and creating a culture of radical transparency across stakeholders. Our MBA Intern roles aim to give first-time and experienced product managers the chance to learn new skills and disciplines.
Locations: New York City or Charlotte
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The Product Management Intern will:
- engage with teams to understand the marketplace and competitor platforms
- work cross-functionally to drive ideas from conception to execution, conduct experiments, develop business cases, define and analyze success metrics, launch and optimize products, and own products end-to-end
- develop an understanding of technology approaches, tools and methodologies
- participate in project team meetings and provide status updates
- effectively communicate activities and findings in both oral and written formats
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Currently pursuing a 2-year MBA program full-time with an expectation that degree will be obtained by August 2025
- Possess 2-5 years of professional work experience post undergrad, preferably in financial services
- Excellent communication, presentation, and problem solving/analytical skills
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and deliver on commitments
- Demonstrated agility in learning with a deep curiosity and interest in the retirement industry
- Strong relationship management skills
- Able to collaboratively influence and effectively interact at all levels, both internally and externally in a matrixed environment
- Strong level of integrity with an entrepreneurial spirit
Base Pay Range: $65.00/hr. - $65.00/hr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
