The Tech Associate is an intern position that assists with recurring tasks across multiple areas of an organization's overall information technology (IT) infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration of IT systems software, hardware and databases, data processing operations, end user technology. This job gains experience and an overall feel for the company and the financial services industry by attending meetings, delivering presentations, and exploring business-specific tasks to better understand the organization. Over the 10-week summer internship program, this job participates in a robust training and onboarding program followed by an ongoing speaker series, lunch-and-learns, and cohort engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Handles information technology support requests and procedures across the enterprise network in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assists with the configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of software applications to ensure the smooth running of information technology operations.
• Performs clerical duties such as organizing documents, maintaining files, photocopying, and faxing.
• Assists in preparing information and research materials, including Powerpoint presentations.
• Takes notes during meetings and provides to team members.
• Researches and gathers documentation as directed by colleagues.
• Attends company functions, including trainings programs, speaker series, lunch-and-learns and social networking events that provide opportunities for career growth and personal development.

As a Technology Associate in the Early Talent Rotational Program, you will be tasked with utilizing academic knowledge, skills and experience to apply tactics and strategies to solve real business challenges for a mission driven asset management organization.

As part of the 2-year program, you will have the opportunity to experience:

The Nuveen Operations concentration focuses on rotations in Nuveen Global Investment Operations (NGIO).

Nuveen Global Investment Operations (NGIO) is also referred to as Nuveen Middle Office and supports client assets for Nuveen across multiple affiliates. NGIO provides operational excellence and support to deliver superior investment outcomes for Nuveen asset management

NGIO consists of 5 major functions including Trade Operations, Client Operations (Transitions & International Operations), Performance Attribution & Data Mgmt., Operations Administration (Portfolio Accounting, reconciliation, Corporate Action, Pricing) and Derivative Operations with additional support functions including business operations and vendor strategy & oversight.

The NGIO Rotational Program will offer associates the ability to learn more about the asset management industry & lifecycle of a trade through on the job experiences across our various operational functions with potential for specialization based on the skills and interests of the associated in conjunction of the needs of the business.

Related Skills

Base Pay Range: $71,000/yr. - $73,000/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
