About Tech Connect
Tech Connect is an accelerated training program for aspiring software engineers. Specially designed for individuals without formal training in computer science or software engineering. This full-time, multi-week program teaches participants how to code in Java and prepares them for the Software Engineer Program (SEP).
Through Tech Connect, you will:

• Learn and master the basics of object-oriented programming using Java.
• Apply what you learn through hands-on application using various Agile software development practices.
• Further cultivate your technical skills through workshops with subject matters experts (SMEs) on various topics.
• Develop a continuous learning mindset in an open, collaborative learning environment.
• Invest in your professional development through engagements with senior leaders, panels with Tech Connect alumni and networking opportunities.
• Build a diverse network of peers, alumni, and program managers

About the Software Engineer Program (SEP)
Upon completion of Tech Connect, joining our Software Engineer Program means you will:

• Start with an in-depth induction program that teaches you about our businesses, builds on your knowledge of development methodologies, and sharpens your professional skills.
• Dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that make a difference for our customers, clients and employees.
• Create and improve the design, analytics, coding and testing for high-quality software and new products.
• Own projects end-to-end, keeping teams and stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what's being developed.
• Work and share ideas, information and innovation with our team of technologists from all over the world.
• Develop through on-going training, mentorship and access to senior leaders.
• Participate in our Force for Good program to develop real-life tech solutions for social good organizations while learning new skills and collaborating with our JPMorgan Chase tech experts.
• Join an inspiring and curious team of technologists who will support you in developing new skills, experiencing new projects and businesses, and taking your career where you want to go.

About You
Tech Connect is an inclusive program and we are looking for dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. We believe that anyone with determination, technical aptitude, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills can be a software engineer.
We're looking for self-starters with a variety of educational backgrounds and a demonstrated passion for programming, looking to launch a career in software engineering at JPMorgan Chase.
Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career as a Software Engineer
• Students with a bachelor's or 5th year M.A. or M.S. degree in fields other than computer science1 or software engineering
• Graduation date between December 2023 and May 2024
• A well-rounded academic background with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.2
• In touch with industry wide technology trends and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture

If you are a Computer Science major or have previous work/internship experience as a Software Engineer, you should apply to the FT 2024 Software Engineer job requisition.
