The Asbury Park Press / APP.com, part of the USA Today Network, is seeking applicants for its competitive summer internship program.

The internship runs for 8 at 40 hours per week. Interns will work a variety of beats and assignments, gaining experience in Asbury Park Press's strategy to gain and keep loyal readers with watchdog-focused storytelling.

Applicants should have strong writing skills demonstrated in their clips and be ready to report multiple stories per week.

Interns are required to live in market for the duration of the internship.
