• You're a motivated rising senior (Graduation Date of December 2024 or May 2025) with a 3.0 GPA or higher seeking a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas listed below from an accredited college or university:

What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you'll be essential to two teams - your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include:

• A successful intern on the Edge of Network (EoN team) within Network Technology will work on automated performance testing for IETF L4S applications. The project covers testing IETF L4S applications over DOCSIS and other network segments by using traffic generators and applications. The intern will help the automation test engineers to create test scenarios, collect, visualize, and analyze data, create demos and presentations. This project ideally suits someone who thinks creatively to produce automated testing and analysis platform for a comprehensive performance evaluation of low latency applications over high-speed data networks. The intern will collaborate with experienced network engineers, test engineers and data analysts, fostering teamwork and boundary-pushing contributions. This environment promotes learning of cutting-edge technologies, innovation, critical thinking and independent input.

Required qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited College or University graduating with a bachelor's degree between December 2024 - May 2025
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for Charter Sponsorship

Preferred qualifications

• Proficient in Software including Adobe, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Programming skills including some/all of the following: Python, C/C++, JAVA, API Experience, JSON Experience
• HTML Experience & SWAGGER Experience
• Networking Skills including some/all of the following: Network+ CCNA, DOCSIS, SNMP, TCP/IP, HTTPS
• Networking knowledge and ability to perform data analyisis, document organization, packet capturing and network performance analysis.
• Methods of automated measurement and testing.
• Data analysis via machine learning and artificial intelligence.
• The following skills and knowledge are a plus: Cablelabs Low Latency DOCSIS and IETF L4S specifications. SNMP MIBS, IPDR telemetry, OpenMetrics, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Familiarity with popular latency-sensitive gaming applications.

The pay for this position has a salary range of
$22.00 to $25.20. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
