Job Description
Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics is a rapidly expanding initiative with the objective of revolutionizing the retail landscape through robotics. Our development and implementation of the cutting-edge Alphabot® technology are currently underway, with deployment in stores across North America.
Walmart Advanced Systems & Robotics a mission to re-invent retailing through robotics. We are seeking to hire software interns for the summer and fall. We have positions open in our simulation group. You will work with our talented software engineers, contributing to projects and learning along the way.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
- Run simulation models and perform sensitivity analysis of various operational scenarios
- Help design and develop simulation models and modular code using sound software engineering principles.
- Participate in group discussions to share and gain knowledge.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience with Java 8+.
- Exposure to Simulation modeling, preferably AnyLogic
- Understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working within a group developing software solutions.
- Someone who thrives in a high energy and dynamic environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability and desire to work on site in Andover.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in CS or related field.
