POSITION OVERVIEWAt Hallmark, our IT interns take on real business challenges primarily within our Hallmark Technology organization and sometimes our Omni-channel (Hallmark.com) division. Initial work assignments for you could include:
- Learning assigned applications.
- Applying technical knowledge to solve problems in a specific business area.
- Working with business partners to define solutions.
- Working with consultants, contractors, and on-shore/off-shore resources in accomplishing desired outcomes.
- Performing analysis.
- Assuming responsibility for design, programming, and implementation on assigned systems.
- Ensuring all solutions align to security standards and protocols.
- In addition, our interns will work with many technologies including Java, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, Visual Basic, C/C++, .net, Python, JSON, R, COBOL, CICS, DB2, Teradata, DataStage, SAP, PTC, mobile applications, and JDA systems.
2024 Internships available include:
- Software Engineer
- Data Science Administrator
- Product Owner for Digital
- Automation Center of Practice
- Information Security rotation
During your summer, you will be exposed to all the different parts of our Hallmark Technology division and the various ways that people have created challenging and rewarding IT careers here at Hallmark. We are looking for energetic problem solvers with strong leadership skills who are eager to make an impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONSThe following is required to be considered for this role:
- Currently pursuing a degree with a graduation date of December 2024, May 2025, December 2025, or May 2026.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and application will stand out if you have:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (GPA must be stated on your resume).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong learning agility and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage ambiguity.
- Previous internship experience or exposure to corporate or technological work.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Our 2023 Internship opportunities may be hybrid, on-site, or fully remote, depending on the project and needs of the business. This internship will occur summer of 2024 (typically late May through early August). The final deadline for all applications is October 28th, 2023, and we plan to have all decisions made by Thanksgiving. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program!
