The Systems Engineering Division (SED) provides unmatched experience in systems engineering to the U.S. government and to numerous public and private agencies, universities, nonprofit organizations, consortia, and commercial companies involved in the advanced application of space technology. From systems architecture development to system analysis and optimization, astrodynamics, orbital debris, navigation, failure analysis, mission assurance, cost and schedule assessment, and economic market analysis, SED exploits an incredibly broad array of engineering and business disciplines against a diverse and dynamic portfolio of programs and national challenges.
Aerospace's Integrated Cost and Schedule Analysis (iCASA) Department is seeking an early career Systems Analyst to join a diverse, innovative, and highly productive team of cost and schedule professionals. This growing bi-coastal department supports a wide range of customers in the National Security, Civil, commercial, and International Space Communities. iCASA collects lessons learned from a wide variety of programs to help develop better engineering management techniques within the fields of cost, schedule, risk, and engineering trade analyses.
Work Model: This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA and Chantilly, VA
What You'll Be Doing

• Analyze engineering and technical data to assess credibility of government and industry cost and schedule estimates.
• Conduct research and analysis of schedule and technical data, along with the development of schedule analysis and schedule risk assessments (SRAs) to support the government in the procurement of cost-effective systems.
• Participate in Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis, evaluation of contractor cost activities, concurrent engineering and technical trade studies.
• Utilize industry tools to develop and/or evaluate Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), conduct Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs), schedule structural integrity analyses, critical path verification/validation and identify/quantify program risks.
• Actively engage with senior staff in the development of cost and schedule methods and models. This entails supporting cost research activities, researching & developing historical databases, and providing recommendations through technical analyses.
• Candidate must be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, react quickly to changing requirements and schedules.
• Document analyses via formal reports and present technical, cost, schedule and programmatic data/findings to peers, management, and Customers.
• Willing to travel domestically/internationally when required, approximately 10%.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, or a related discipline from an accredited university program (pursuing or conferred within the last 12 months)
• 0-1-year experience
• Familiarity with standard cost, schedule, and project management methodologies
• Knowledge of aerospace or systems engineering principles.
• Experience in computer programming and modeling (E.g., Python, JAVA, VB, etc.), especially for purposes of developing tools.
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (TS/SCI), which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering Economics, or a related discipline from an accredited university program (pursuing or conferred within the last 12 months)
• 0-1 year of experience
• Knowledge of Space, Ground, and Launch Systems is highly desirable.
• Experience using industry tools (E.g., MS Project, Milestones Professional, SEER, True Planning, ACEIT/JACS).
• Experience with concurrent engineering methods and tools.
• Current DoD TS and/or SSBI/SCI Clearance.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$75,000 - $85,000 - $115,000
Pay Basis: Annual
