Our Marketing Communications & Corporate Social Responsibility (MCC) team tells this story and is responsible for positioning IBM in the market. As an IBM Marketing Analytics Intern you’ll work collaboratively driving work that addresses a strategic IBM Marketing business challenge. You will have the opportunity to focus on uncovering synthesizing and applying analytic insights that drive both strategic and tactical outcomes for the company and directly guide marketing execution. In addition to your project work the internship includes educational networking and social activities. Between project work and intern programming you’ll get to touch a variety of areas within Marketing. At the end of program you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your final outcomes to a large audience of Marketing Leaders and Practitioners across the organization. This is a highly visible intern program with leadership exposure and mentorship throughout the summer.
This internship would support our Media & Marketing Automation (MMA) team. This team is responsible for planning executing and optimizing our paid media and marketing automation activities to deliver value to our business as well as re-imagining media & marketing automation efforts in an AI-driven world. As an intern on this team you could be involved in helping answer analytics questions and helping to further business objectives in one or more of these areas:
- Optimizing paid media campaigns and tactics to increase relevance of the IBM brand and drive demand for priority products
- Analyzing designing and enhancing omni-channel audience journeys to serve our prospective clients relevant and personalized content in the right place at the right time
- Driving innovation at the intersection of marketing and AI through generative AI for content creation process automation for enhanced productivity and more
This role is based in New York NY.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Currently enrolled in an accredited University
- Available for an internship in Summer 2025
- Rising senior for the 2025-2026 school year
- Passionate about marketing data analytics or a related field
- Fluent in English; strong written and verbal communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- A strategic consultative data-driven mindset
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Basic knowledge of marketing communications data analytics or related area
- Basic market research skills
- Basic knowledge of how to leverage data to tell a story
- SQL Excel Python R for data analysis
- Tableau Excel PowerBI Cognos for data visualization
