Summary
About the position: This position will be assigned to the Dobbins Information, Ticket and Travel (ITT) program on Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia.
The purpose of this position is to assist the Program Manager with daily sales and paperwork to support the Information Ticket and Tours program.
This is a flexible position which means you may work between 0-40 hours per week.

Duties
Maintains a current knowledge of recreational attractions in the local and adjacent areas/states.
Stays abreast of current ticket prices of all major attractions in the area.
Furnishes information (i.e. schedules, cost, reservations, and miscellaneous matters pertaining to the program) to prospective participants in the program either in person or by telephone, which includes frequent personal contact with all ranks of the military.
Receives and records payment for ticket sales.
Responsible for preparing cashier reports and depositing money.
Provides patron with written and register receipts.
Performs a daily inventory of all prepaid and consignment tickets.
Requires working at least one Saturday each month.

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience which provides a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs. Knowledge of cash handling procedures and accountability. Must have ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess skills in dealing with the public. Must be detailed oriented.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.

A probationary period may be required.
Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
