SUPPLY TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN at the Marine Depot Maintenance Command. This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Learn more about this agency Duties You will be receiving, examining, and verifying all incoming supply requests to determine course of action for processing; i.e. Global Combat Support System - Marine Corps (GCSS-MC), NAVSUP FORM 1250, Government Commercial Purchase card (GCPC). You will maintain filing system for all supply records to include Supply System requirements, local purchases, open market contracts and other files as required or directed. You will update databases with current and valid information required for trend analysis and operational requirements. You will validate and allocate GCPC purchases via Citi-Bank at the end of each month’s billing cycle. You will maintain database monitoring outstanding requirements and initiating follow-ups consistent with policies. Requirements Conditions of employment Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. You may interact with Global Combat Support System United States Marine Corps (GCSS-MC). You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provide assistance in receiving, examining, and verifying incoming supply requests to determine course of action; process supply requirements; process local purchases via the GCPC program; utilize automated supply applications (e.g. GCSSMC, U.S. Federal Logistics Data (FEDLOG), Supply Discrepancy Report (SDR), Regional Hazardous Inventory Control System (RHICS). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education OR have successfully completed two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
