Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Participating in an inspection program that assess compliance of Region and Installation programs with applicable regulations to detect deficiencies, improprieties, and inefficiencies; 2) Evaluating the extent of compliance with policies and procedures to deter fraud, waste, or mismanagement; 3) Assisting in the evaluation of strengths of internal controls within the organization in preparation of the development of Manager's Internal Control Certification Statement; 4) Preparing inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for leadership; and 5) Providing guidance for installation staff on the execution of the Manager's Internal Control Program. Work Environment Work is usually performed in an office setting; however, occasionally it is performed in non-office areas such as warehouses, terminals, and work centers. Work requires periodic temporary duty travel to conduct inspections, investigations, reviews, audits, training and other operational matters concerning the command. Physical Demands Work is generally sedentary in nature. Ability to get to major organizational elements of the Region or installation is necessary. Manual dexterity is required to operate a computer workstation and other office automation. Occasional travel to conduct inspections or investigations may be required.
