Job Title: Board-Certified Child and Adolescent PsychiatristLocation: New JerseySchedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMCall: 1:3 rotation + 1 weekend per month Position Summary: We are seeking a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our Regional Behavioral Health team. This position will work alongside a collaborative team of 5 full-time psychiatrists and 7 advanced practice nurses (APNs) with the support of a Regional Medical Director. The role includes providing clinical leadership and direct patient care for children and adolescents in a newly developed Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Outpatient Services. The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor to APNs and contribute to ongoing program development, safety initiatives, and quality improvement. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric evaluations using interviews, observations, and medical history reviews Diagnose and treat mental health conditions in children and adolescents Create and manage individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy and medications Monitor patient progress with regular follow-up appointments and adjust plans as needed Participate in weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare providers Provide clinical mentorship to Advanced Practice Nurses Maintain thorough documentation of diagnoses, treatment, and outcomes Stay informed of current developments in psychiatry and mental health Contribute to quality and safety improvement initiatives Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: Required: MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of 4-year psychiatry residency Board Certification in Psychiatry Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent experience Current DEA license Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence Additional Information: - Specialty: Child/Adolescent Psychiatry - Location: - Contact: About the Company: We pride ourselves on being a different kind of locums group.
