Summary
This position is located in the Indian Affairs, Office of Facilities, Property and Safety Management, Division of Facilities Management and Construction (DFMC), Branch of Planning and Design. The mission of the DFMC is to ensure the efficient and effective stewardship of resources for new construction, renovation, and maintenance of Bureau-funded facilities, for the Bureau of Indian Education; Bureau of Indian Affairs Office of Justice Services; and BIA administrative programs.

Incumbent is required to operate a government motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license, and have safe driving record within the 4 year immediately preceding submittal of GSA Form 3607.
Will be required to file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report Form in accordance with 5 CFR Part 2634, Subpart I.

The full performance level of this position is GS-13.
This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final.
Supervisors who do not satisfactorily complete their probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment.
Indian Affairs has determined that the duties of the position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
You must possess a license or registration as a Professional Engineer. Your license or registration must be held in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
All applicants must submit copies of a full set of transcripts and Professional Engineer license along with their applicant to verify qualification requirements.
This position is required to annually complete the OGE-450 Confidential Financial Disclosure Report and have the document approved by the ethics officer.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing of the following: (1) Managing a facilities planning and design program; (2) Preparing or reviewing planning and design cost estimates and/or budgets; (3) Presenting program information orally and in writing; and (4) Assigning work to subordinates in an engineering or architectural field.
Selective Placement Factor Requirement: This position has the following Selective Placement Factors that will be used to screen candidates: Registration as a Professional Engineer is required. Your license or registration must be held in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must send a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript in order to receive credit for that education which shows the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university. This position has been designated as an Incidental Operator under the Indian Affairs Motor Vehicle Safety Program and requires the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle in order to properly carry out his/her assigned duties but whose principal duties are not operating a motor vehicle and his/her position is not classified as a motor vehicle operator. The incumbent will be required annually to acknowledge and certify possession of a valid state driver's license.
