Summary
As a Security Specialist in the Office of Protective Services, you will lead a team that manages electronic application (eAPP) initiations, ensures efficiency, compliance, and coordination with stakeholders. Serve as the primary liaison for consolidating and submitting sensitive compartmented information packages, while overseeing the preparation of specialized documentation. Develop reports and conduct analysis that inform planning and evaluation, identify challenges, and recommend solutions.

Duties
Lead and oversee a multidisciplinary team responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of eAPP initiations, ensuring timely, accurate processing, effective communication with subjects, and seamless coordination with stakeholders.
Serve as the point of contact for coordinating, consolidating and submitting sensitive compartmented information packages to the authorizing agency.
Review necessary documentation and assures compliance with policy and prepares specialized protective services documents for Agency approval.
Prepare and contribute to reports and other presentations on program planning and evaluation. Identify and propose solutions to problems significant to program planning.
Design and conduct a wide variety of comprehensive studies and detailed analyses of complex functions and processes related to long range planning.
Provide technical and administrative guidance in the implementation of Multi-security discipline programs.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level:
Administering a comprehensive institutional security program to protect employees, property, and information;
Applying security guidelines, policies and regulations;
Applying multi-disciplined security principles, concepts, and methodology.

Probationary Period
