Summary
This position is part of the Department of Defense. The incumbent will be responsible for providing transportation services necessary to execute the mission of moving classified cargo worldwide.

Duties
As a Supervisory Traffic Management Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:
Planning and organizing logistics activities including air terminal, cargo preparation, and traffic management operations;
Executing the movement of classified or hazardous cargo worldwide;
Ensuring compliance with border clearance requirements;
Coordinating with host base organizations; and
Exercising supervisory responsibility over personnel, evaluating resources, and scheduling work for cargo handling operations.

Position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under U.S.C. 1601
Suitable for Federal employment determined by required background investigation
Must obtain/maintain Top Secret SCI security clearance with Polygraph

Must pass a pre-employment physical examination.
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate valid state and/or government driver license.
Position may occasionally require moderate to heavy lifting in excess of 50 pounds. Work requires active walking, bending, and stooping. Work conditions sometimes require the incumbent to work outside during all types of weather.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Experience must be reflected in your resume.
Specialized experience required for this position is:
Planning and organizing logistics activities including air terminal, cargo preparation, and traffic management operations;
Executing the movement of classified or hazardous cargo worldwide;

VETERANS PREFERENCE CURRENT OR FORMER FEDERAL
In accordance with DoD Instructions 1400.25 Volume 2005, veterans preference is not required to be applied when considering candidates with prior Federal competitive or excepted service who have completed a probationary or trial period and have not been separated for cause. Therefore, veterans preference will not be applied to applicants with current federal service, or former federal civilian service meeting the above criteria.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Agency's interest.
Loan Repayment incentive may be authorized if determined by the Hiring Manager to be in the best interest of the Agency.

This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date). The selectee's inability successfully pass; or refusal to conduct the test may result in: 1) the tentative or FJO being withdrawn during the recruitment process; or 2) subsequently being removed from Federal service for failure to meet a condition of employment.
You may be required to sign a "Drug Test Statement of Understanding" if you are selected for this position.
