Job Description
The IT Systems Analyst will join the Hilcorp Integrations Team to support acquisition and divestiture projects. She/he will gain a thorough understanding of current and future state business applications, infrastructure, networking and other technical needs, document requirements, and contribute to the solution design to meet acquisition/divestiture initiatives and goals. She/he will be responsible for delivering projects which align with Hilcorp IT best practices, and for leveraging the Hilcorp IT function's systems & services in support of business strategy. She/he will leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to develop specifications and requirements of acquisition/divestiture projects, ensuring they are completed within its planned scope, schedule, and budget through coordination of required resources. Works closely with IT business relationship managers and other IT services teams to define objectives, priorities, and project approach.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze discovery information from acquired or divested company and formulate into software, hardware, data migration/separation plans.
- Document business and technical requirements and assist in developing functional solutions to meet project goals.
- Responsible for identifying business application, integration, access control, cross company communication, infrastructure, and networking needs.
- Produce fully documented and detailed project plans and designs to system analysts and administrators to ensure alignment between technical design and business requirements for integration or separation activities.
- Meets and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to establish project scope, system goals, and requirements.
- Develops, analyzes, prioritizes, and organizes requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow.
- Manages business enterprise systems, technical programming integrations, as well as business intelligence and reporting solutions.
- Translates highly technical specifications into clear non-technical requirements.
- Provides documentation of all processes and training as needed.
- Implements best practices for scalability, supportability, ease of maintenance, and system performance.
- Envisions, designs, and deliver IT solutions which deliver value in terms of analytics, automation, efficiency, or improved IT controls.
- Oversees all phases of project from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keep management and end users engaged through communicating relevant project information.
- Implement new technologies and systems, building reporting/KPIs and expand integrations between systems.
- Responsible for improving business processes with integrations or improve existing integrations/process
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously using standard project management tools, e.g., MS Project, Azure DevOps.
- Monitors, troubleshoots, and resolves problems reported/detected with business systems.
- Manages the activities of third-party partners in delivery of IT solutions.
- Translates project documents, including reports and project specific business rules into technical specification document for development by internal or external resources.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed.
- Strong management and organization skills. Ability to manage ambiguity. Be a self-starter and work independently to progress project responsibilities.

Other Job Responsibilities:
- Travel: Requires travel to Hilcorp Energy hub and field sites up to 15% of the time. May increase during acquisition and divestiture cutover periods.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Information Technology including project management and business analysis.
- Experience in business enterprise systems, technical programming integration, and BI / Reporting
- Experience with SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL, including basic administration and developing SQL code
- Experience implementing new technologies and systems, building reporting/KPIs, and expanding integrations between systems
- Experience maintaining Business Intelligence and Reporting systems, to include data warehouse and integrations
- Experience enhancing or improving business processes with integrations or improving existing integration/processes
- Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions.
- Applies best practices in documenting business requirements in an iterative way, particularly using agile methodologies.
- Ability to create clear reports and data visualizations to assist in decision-making and problem analysis.
- Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Capable of focusing on details regarding procedures and workflow.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of the principles and practices associated with database analytics, maintenance, and administration.
- Relevant experience in use of technical tools for solution development.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities without supervision.

Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or related field of study, or relevant experience
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Certification in Advanced Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Information Technology Software Management (ITSM). LEAN and/or Six Sigma, preferred but not required.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferred but not required.
