Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Tinker Arts & Crafts Center. Working conditions: Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, paint fumes, cuts, burns and bruises. Duties Receives and processes custom orders for engraving and framing services, ensuring accuracy based on customer specifications. Takes reservations and registers participants for classes and activities, both in person and over the phone. Operates a point-of-sale system to process payments via cash, check, or credit card; provides correct change and issues receipts. Maintains the Nonappropriated Fund Purchase Card program for Arts and Crafts Programs. With assistance and/or close supervision, operates a variety of equipment in assigned area, to include computerized engravers, copiers, lettering machines, heat presses, air brushes, pouring tables, kilns, mat cutters, choppers and hand power tools. Delivers courteous and professional customer service in person, via phone, email, and social media platforms. Assists with inventory control, including tracking fixed assets, merchandise, and supply levels. Sets up and breaks down recreation and craft areas for scheduled classes, events, and other activities. Provides simple instruction or assistance during arts and crafts classes as needed. s maintain merchandise displays to ensure products are current, well-stocked, and visually appealing. Performs general housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and order within the facility and surrounding areas. Follows and enforces safety practices with customers. Performs other related duties as assigned. This position requires the incumbent to complete a pre-employment physical with favorable results. Qualifying Experience: Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash. Skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
