TeamHealth is currently seeking an emergency medicine (EM) physician to join our team at the Baptist Health System in Montgomery, Alabama. As an EM physician, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients who require emergency treatment. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.Responsibilities:Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and diagnose and treat illnesses and injuriesPrescribe medications and treatments as neededConsult with specialists and refer patients for further care when necessaryProvide timely and accurate documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record systemParticipate in quality improvement and patient safety initiativesCollaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for patientsMaintain up-to-date knowledge of emergency medicine practices and guidelinesParticipate in continuing medical education activities and professional development opportunities Qualifications:Board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine, internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)Current Alabama medical license or eligibility to obtain oneExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong clinical judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededInterested in learning more about this opportunity?
