Summary Information Technology Division - Arlington, VA The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Sys Admin). You will be responsible for supervising and directing USMS' information technology operations as they are carried out in the assigned portion of the USMS Districts, Divisions and/or Offices. Learn more about this agency Duties As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Sys Admin) at the GS-2210-14 level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Managing a full range of cybersecurity and IT-related services, operations and projects, which may include access to classified programs and handling classified and /or sensitive data. Serving as a technical expert and agency IT representative and providing the full spectrum of information technology (IT) services in their assigned region/AORs to include oversight of vendors and contractors. Planning, designing, testing, documenting, and implementing new or upgrades to existing IT services, equipment, applications, systems and/or solutions in the assigned region ensuring the solution meets cybersecurity requirements. Leading a full range of IT projects and through the IT change control process ensuring the proper application of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), cybersecurity, and information assurance policies. implementing secure IT solutions, developing and testing the contingency security plans and disaster recovery procedures, assessing IT systems risks and identifying and correcting cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This position is a Testing Designated Position and is subject to random drug testing. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period. May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period. Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-2210-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: Basic Requirement: You must have information technology related experience demonstrating each of the four required competencies: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail; 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services; 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately; and 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: Must have At least one year (12 months) of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties: 1. Implementing IT enterprise architecture plans that address mission-critical program objectives, 2. Assisting with managing and directing IT projects consistent with industry standards, 3. Analyzing business requirements to develop IT solutions, AND 4. Providing technical advice and assistance on IT programs to users and management.
