Perform well-baby and child physical exams and access for illness, order diagnostic tests, create treatment plans, and administer treatments.Communicate with parents and guardians regarding the state and treatment of their children.Work alongside team of skilled physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, and allied health staff.Grow Your Professional Career with UPMC:Clinical Career Ladder: Our merit-based advancement system allows APPs to progress on a level playing field across all practice settings, rewarding excellence through a three-rung ladder: staff, senior, and expert.Job Qualifications:Education: Graduate of an Accredited Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with Board Certification (ANCC), BCLS, PALS (ACLS and NALS optional). Experience in Pediatrics in either: inpatient or critical care. Will need to apply for prescriptive authority with the PA Board of Nursing. Must be eligible to apply for a DEA number. Must have current CPR/BLS certification.
