Supports the company’s safety, health, and training initiatives by promoting a safe and productive work environment. Provides basic support in identifying and addressing safety and health concerns, following established policies and procedures to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Identifies basic safety and health concerns by observing workplace conditions, reporting potential hazards, and helping to implement preventive programs.
• Supports safe work practices by following established safety policies and assisting in the preparation of safety communications and campaigns.
• Helps ensure compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local safety regulations by staying informed on company policies and adhering to them.
• Conducts routine inspections and reports safety observations to supervisors; documents and tracks safety metrics as needed.
• Supports internal audits and inspections by assisting the Environmental group and documenting findings.
• Coordinates monthly safety training sessions and participates in field safety meetings.
• Helps maintain corporate safety databases, including SDS Software/Incident Management systems, by performing basic data entry and documentation.
• Assists with the implementation of the company’s alcohol and substance abuse testing program by coordinating testing logistics and reporting.
• Operates in accordance with the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual policies.
• Provides support to the emergency response team as needed and coordinates training for spill management.
• Investigates incidents to support root cause analysis and help develop preventive measures.
• Demonstrates and upholds the company’s core values – integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
• Supports the company’s mission and vision, adheres to established work schedules, and maintains attendance standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Job Responsibilities:

• Serves as back-up to the Safety Manager, if necessary.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information in line with company policy.
• Available for after-hours questions or emergencies as needed.
• Resides within the region of the assigned asset team
• Assists in other duties as assigned by management.
• Strong leader, self-starter, excellent communicator, and have solid interpersonal skills to negotiate well with all levels in the organization

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years minimum operations, production, safety, health and training, preferably oil and gas Industry.
• Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in data management.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
• Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
• Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
  • Preferred: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Previous Harvest experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Required:
  • Associate/Technical Degree from an accredited two-year college, community college, or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability, and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college, or related experience.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• CSHO, ASP or CSP preferred.
