Job Description
Job Objective:
Facilitates compliance in a variety of EHS disciplines and media by supporting regulatory reporting, training, and recordkeeping. Ensures EHS change management is broadly and accurately communicated, coordinating updates in associated EHS-related systems. Performs basic EHS-related administrative and permitting duties.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Monitors engine testing and sampling schedule, elevating discrepancies and approaching deadlines, filing associated notifications and reports
- Ensures completion of all monthly and annual SPCC inspections and associated PREP Program requirements (QI notifications, deployment activities, Table Top Drills)
- Ensures management of change for permit modifications, renewals and applications are carried forth within environmental recordkeeping and tracking systems
- Provides support for basic environmental compliance, project and integrity permitting (ACOE, Coastal Use, Tier II etc.)
- Provides support for environmental regulatory audit information requests
- Provides support for annual contractor safety performance data acquisition
- Supports safety meeting preparation and delivery
- Monitors incident management system for completion of records from first report through investigation and lessons learned communication
- Coordinates EHS training
- Supplements safety representatives for new-hire orientation and transition success
- Performs EHS administrative tasks inclusive of invoicing, record maintenance and routine internal reporting
- Adheres to the companyβs values β integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation
- Supports company vision and mission
- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.)
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Zero (0) to Three (3) years of experience as a safety specialist.
- Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner
- Outstanding administrative and organizational skills
- Required proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook)
- Preferred proficiency in Smart Sheet, Power BI, State and Federal online reporting portals
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma .
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:
- Candidate preferred to be working or willing to work toward environmental or occupational safety certification
