Job Description
IT Systems Analyst in Houston, Texas.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Represent and understand the needs of Asset teams to technical planning groups in IT.
- Consult with business units and review IT usage, services, technology and department specific projects to identify, forecast and develop IT needs.
- Oversee all phases of a project from conception to completion, including scope changes, and keep user engaged through different communication channels.
- Ensure that IT Operational software and tools are meeting or exceeding user expectations.
- Establish relationships within IT, with business units, and with vendors during evaluations and negotiations to identify potential issues and risks.
- Coordinate use and delivery of IT services to business users in each Asset.
- Performs other IT projects as assigned.
- Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment, and innovation.
- Supports company vision and mission.
- Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual two work and meetings.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SQL and associated reporting tools
- Working knowledge of PowerBI
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
• Three (3) years minimum experience with E&P applications and tools.
• Working knowledge of maintenance management systems or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of cloud application infrastructure.
• Exceptional ability in diagnosing and solving technical related issues.
• Ability to conduct application troubleshooting.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
• Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities with minimum supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex information system's information into an organized and presentable manner.
• Ability to travel to remote locations via large and small planes, helicopter or boat. Expectation is quarterly trips to our asset locations.
• Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
• Required: Microsoft Office, understanding of Windows servers, Oracle / SQL databases.
• Required: Working knowledge of oil and gas industry applications and processes.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in information technology, electrical engineering, computer science, or a closely related field. Additional experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
