24-181.B1 - Operations Controls Assistant
Job Description
Job Objective: We are seeking a multiskilled individual to join the Milne Point Unit. This critical role supports our large-scale projects and the expansion of operations, including drilling new wells with two rotary rigs and working over existing wells with the smaller ASR rig. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring our Projects, Maintenance, and Operations Teams are cohesively aligned with planning and execution. This position offers either a rotation of 14 days on/14 days off or a town-based schedule with occasional slope trips. The Project Controls Assistant will have diverse responsibilities, including project and maintenance planning and scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, and other tasks aligned with MPU's goal of achieving better and safer work through enhanced planning and efficiency.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the cost tracking of Operations and Maintenance jobs.
- Ensure the MPU Team progresses towards the new Work Management and Communication System.
- Manage the design review and approval process with Designers and the MPU Project Team.
- Assist in managing SharePoint libraries.
- Understanding and experience with Hilcorp MOC process.
- Assist in planning logistics for project execution and maintenance scheduling.
- Support project management in Requests for Proposal preparation and bid evaluations.
- Assist Material Coordinators with material procurement for projects and operations/maintenance.
- Ability to aid in the Milne Point design process and drawing updates.
- Manage project tasks in Teams, developing and maintaining team task timelines.
- Track costs, including timesheet cost tracking.
- Create purchase orders (POs) and manage contractor communication via the FS2 Portal.
- Handle SharePoint independent invoicing.
- Assist and audit Site View entries.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Make occasional trips to MPU
- Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Competent in SharePoint, Projects for the Web, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite applications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in material procurement
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, especially under the challenging conditions typical of remote oil field operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Education Requirements:
- An associate degree or higher in a business-related field
