Overview:
Responsible for direction of outpatient rehabilitation services (physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology). Directs operations of the outpatient therapy departments in accordance with current statutes, regulations, and policies/procedures of each department. Maintains performance improvement activities within the outpatient rehab departments, and participates in quality activities and committees as assigned in conjunction with Mercy Hospital. Works directly with finance and administrative leaders to formulate and evaluate an annual budget. Clinically responsible for evaluation, planning, directing and administering therapy services to patients as prescribed by a licensed physician as needed. Completes other duties as assigned. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Speech Language Pathology (SLP) program.
- Licensure: Licensed as a PT, OT, and/or SLP in the state of practice.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience in a therapy setting (i.e., outpatient clinic, acute hospital, home health, skilled nursing/long-term care facility, or other rehab settings).
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of physical medicine operations.
- Preferred Experience: Outpatient therapy operational management experience preferred.
- Preferred Other: Additional languages preferred.
