Summary
This job opportunity is for an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST, position description NGT5810400, within the 108TH WG of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 5, Excepted Service position.
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a full-time resource advisor and administrative officer for the Unit.

Qualifications
ยท Skilled in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately;
ยท Ability to clearly enunciate English without impediment of speech that would interfere or prohibit effective communication;
ยท Ability to write English in reports and presentation formats;
ยท Ability to communicate clearly and effectively;
ยท Skilled in presenting formal training presentations and briefings;
ยท Ability to assess body language and perceive emotional and/or distress levels; and,
ยท Skilled in applying procedures and directives by reading and interpreting program material.
Specialized Experience: Must have at least 12 months of the following
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations.

Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance within 1(One) Year of appointment.
