Summary
The Due Diligence Analyst (DDA) serves as part of the Due Diligence Division and is responsible for managing the research, analysis, and timely production of business and security-related Entity Vulnerability Assessments (EVAs) evaluating a company's risk indicators and assessing the resultant vulnerabilities' impact on a company's management personnel, business operations, USG customers, security posture, and national security."

This position may be filled at either GG-11 or GG-12 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. Incumbent may be advanced non-competitively to the established target grade upon meeting developmental benchmarks, performance requirements, and other requirements, as applicable established for the career program or specifically for the incumbent.
As a INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (DUE DILIGENCE ANALYST) you will be responsible for the following duties:
GG11
Independently manages and oversees a portfolio of low-complexity Entity Vulnerability Assessments (EVAs), ensuring all products meet established unit quality standards and Intelligence Community (IC) analytic guidelines with moderate supervision.
Conducts peer reviews and edits of EVAs to ensure they meet prescribed quality standards, focus, and depth of information appropriate for the reported circumstances.
Provides technical direction and feedback to government staff, contractors, and external partners regarding identified business and security risks, available mitigation measures, and residual risks requiring referral.
Identifies and recommends areas for process improvement, including workflow enhancements, product format revisions, additional training needs, and updates to internal guidance.
Coordinates verification processes, information requests, and reciprocity actions with other cognizant security agencies under moderate supervision to ensure comprehensive risk analysis.
Performs individual and unit-level workload management by setting suspense dates, monitoring completion status against key performance indicators (KPIs), and realigning work as needed to manage competing priorities.
Participates in and briefs at conferences and meetings, communicating with internal customers on matters related to the due diligence mission and performing developmental tasks for the next-higher grade level.
GG12
Independently prepares routine and moderately complex Entity Vulnerability Assessments (EVAs), ensuring strict adherence to Intelligence Community (IC) analytic standards and internal style guides before dissemination.
Provides technical direction, coaching, training, and mentorship to less experienced staff, serving as a subject matter expert on business and security risks, mitigation strategies, and verification processes.
Proactively identifies areas for process improvement, determines the appropriate course of action for leadership's consideration, and implements approved solutions to enhance workflow, update guidance, and revise product formats.
Conducts peer reviews of reports drafted by other specialists and coordinates verification processes and information requests with other cognizant security agencies with a high degree of autonomy.
Performs advanced workload management by overseeing case prioritization, monitoring individual and team performance metrics against key indicators, and preparing performance reports for supervisors.
Executes advanced workload management by establishing and enforcing suspense dates based on case prioritization, monitoring completion status, and realigning team resources to meet critical deadlines.
Briefs at conferences and meetings with internal and external customers on matters related to the verification and triage mission and responds to complex information requests from government customers with limited supervision.

For the GG-11 and GG-12: Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain the Security Fundamentals and Professional Certification within 12 months of appointment.
For the GG-11 and GG-12: Incumbent is required to attend Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s Analysis 101 training course within 12 months of appointment.
For the GG-12: Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain the Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Certification within 12 months of appointment.

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
GG-11:
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-09) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Appling basic knowledge of U.S. Government security disciplines, such as personnel, industrial, physical, and information security as well as intelligence and counterintelligence programs to identify potential threat indicators impacting personnel and companies.
Assisted in evaluating company governance, ownership, and operational structures to identify vulnerabilities.
Applying fundamental security and business knowledge to conduct research and analysis with guidance on assignments of low complexity.
Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, to prepare reports and contribute to briefings on security-related issues.
Communicating with internal and external customers regarding mission requirements and the status of assigned tasks.
Assisting in the preparation of materials that inform others of business and security vulnerabilities in entities seeking access to sensitive U.S. Government information.
Or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or Three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree (e.g., Ph.D. or equivalent).
GG-12:
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade (GS/GG-11) in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Applying knowledge of U.S. Government security disciplines, such as personnel, industrial, physical, and information security as well as intelligence and counterintelligence programs, with a focus on identifying potential threat indicators that could impact personnel and corporate entities.
Utilizing knowledge of various corporate structures, including governance, ownership, and operational oversight, to assess vulnerabilities in key management, financial stability, and foreign influence.
Applying security, business, and intelligence expertise to independently conduct research and analysis, producing assessments that inform agency and other U.S. Government customers of national security risks.
Communicating exceptionally, both oral and written, as well as gathering complex security and business issues into clear and concise information for senior leadership.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on mission requirements, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and the status of ongoing operations.
Informing and briefing others on business and security vulnerabilities identified in entities seeking access to classified or sensitive U.S. Government information and technology.
Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:
1. Reasoning- Identifies rules, principles, or relationships that explain facts, data, or other information; analyzes information and makes correct inferences or draws accurate conclusions.
2. Vulnerabilities Assessment and Management- Conduct assessments on threats and vulnerabilities, determine the level of risk, and develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations. Conduct assessments in a counterintelligence context to protect against espionage, other intelligence activities, and sabotage conducted for or on behalf of foreign powers, organizations or persons, or international terrorist activities.
3. Writing- Recognizes or uses correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling; communicates information (for example, facts, ideas, or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information, which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.
Education
For the GG-12: Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
For the GG-11: If substituting education for experience at the GG-11 level, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., if related.
If substituting or combining education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
Superior Academic Achievement does not apply to DCIPS positions.
