Travel RN – Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) – Chico, CA (Day Shift, 36-hr Contract)

Ref #: M-RN-294247 Join a cardiovascular unit in Chico, CA on a contract/travel basis. Start ASAP for day shifts beginning at 7:00 AM. This 36-hour assignment pays $2,686. Requirements: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice in California. Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Experience in CVU, telemetry, ICU, or other critical care settings preferred. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high‑acuity environment. Proficiency with cardiovascular monitoring, cardiac rhythms, and related procedures. Key responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care for CVU patients, including pre- and post-procedure monitoring. Continuously assess vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and responses to interventions. Administer medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments safely and accurately. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans. Educate patients and families on cardiovascular conditions, procedures, and discharge instructions. Document patient care promptly and accurately in the electronic health record. Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, including emergencies. Adhere to unit policies, protocols, and safety standards; participate in quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
