Summary This position is located at MWR Leisure Travel. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Duties Works under general supervision, following established policies and procedures. Provides information and assists patrons with a variety of events, entertainment, attractions, theme parks, sporting events and souvenirs. Sells tickets for Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Welfare and Recreation Association Program. Operates a cash register. Receives money from customer, counts and make correct change. Accounts for ticket sales and payment received. Assist in the completion of control sheets and inventory merchandise. Maintains a clean and presentable work area. Performs other duties assigned. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation Required to attend Team Member (TMO) within 30 days of employment. Must be available to work varying rotating shifts to include days, evenings and weekends. This is a flexible position. Flexible positions have no guaranteed hours. A flexible employee serves in a continuing position on a scheduled or as needed basis. Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must be self-motivated and a strong team player, detail oriented and organized. Capable of following directions. Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills. Possess a good understanding of basic financial concepts. Have experience with a cash register and able to communicate in English, both written and oral. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess at least 6 months customer service experience. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
