PEDIATRIC INTENSIVIST, CENTRAL ILLINOIS

Southern Illinois University School of Medicine is seeking an additional BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist to join the division of pediatric critical care.  Our division cares for patients at HSHS St. John’s Children’s Hospital, a 92 bed referral hospital that serves a population of 1.5 million.  Our pediatric ICU is an 8 bed PICU with 9 intermediate/ICU flip beds.  Our division also oversees an active procedural sedation service.  All major pediatric subspecialties are represented.  Research and quality improvement opportunities are available and encouraged.  Teaching is an expectation of the position as we provide direct supervision of residents and medical students.  The position comes with an academic rank commensurate with experience.  Candidates must be BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care by the American Board of Pediatrics and must be licensed to practice medicine in Illinois prior to start date.  Applications are accepted online at https://siumed.edu/careers.
