Full-time OB Hospitalist (Laborist) in Beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico

Lovelace Medical Group is recruiting an OB Laborist for its vibrant employed practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. About the Position:• 8/ 24 hr shifts per month •Familiarity with managing high acuity obstetric patients - with maternal-fetal medicine consultation available at the hospital. •Frequently occurring clinical conditions include high BMI, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and preterm labor management. •Lovelace has an established treatment program for opioid addicted pregnant patients, training and ability to obtain DEA waiver to prescribe is critical •Ability to do Emergency Room consultation, limited to patients requiring inpatient admission or anticipated surgery. •Perform C-Sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver babies safely • Lovelace Women’s Hospital is New Mexico’s first and only hospital dedicated to women’s health and features a 53-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 24/7emergency department, 16 labor and delivery rooms, 41-bed Mother Baby unit and a Maternal-Fetal Medicine program for high-risk pregnancies.
