Summary
THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION
This position is part of the IN 181st Intelligence Wing, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D2702000.

Duties
Verifies member eligibility, course availability, and validates school orders, travel orders, PCS procedures, and pre-requisites are properly complied with in-accordance with National Guard Bureau (NGB) guidance.
Manages formal schools training budget, to include all formal schools and Mission Essential Skills Training (MEST).
Assists in all aspects of Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs.
Provides education and training advisory services to commanders and staff on all education and training programs.
Assists with the development of education and training instructional products.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.
Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.
Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contribution to cooperative working environment and successful accomplish of the mission.
Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
Work may potentially require the employee to be exposed to search and recovery operations in direct response to a military mishap or when providing support to Civil Authorities during an Incident Response as part of domestic operations.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Applicant's demonstrated ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events.

The Human Resources Officer (HRO) is the final approval for all ETP waivers. If approved, the memorandum will be returned to you and then submitted with your application.

Superior Qualifications and Special Needs Pay-setting Authority may be considered for this position. Contact the INNG HR Office for information about this policy. TAG is final approval authority for incentive programs (applicable to federal employees or those with a 90-day break in service). This must be approved prior to your appointment date.
