Location: Keene, NH | Start: ASAP | Duration: 8 weeks | Shift: 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
| Type: Contract (Non-Travel) | Rate: $1,292/40 hrs (local)
Overview:
Seeking a dedicated Licensed
Practical Nurse to provide high-quality bedside care in Keene, NH. This contract position requires
clinical competence, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a
multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications:
Current, active LPN license in the practicing
state
BLS certification
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under RN or physician
direction, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring
Conduct
focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to
individualized care plans
Safely administer medications and treatments, ensuring correct dosing and
adherence to protocols
Manage wound care: assess, clean, dress, and monitor for infection or
complications
Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient condition accurately and
promptly
Maintain comprehensive, compliant patient records of treatments, responses, and
communications
Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive
measures
Administer and monitor IV medications/fluids and manage IV lines as indicated
Provide
catheter care (insertion, maintenance, monitoring) and collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for
lab testing
Support patient comfort and safety through positioning, mobility assistance, and pain
management
Respond to emergencies following facility protocols and provide basic life support as
needed
Adhere to infection control standards, including hand hygiene and appropriate PPE use
Safely
handle, store, and dispose of medications and supplies per regulations
Advocate for patient needs
and coordinate care with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff
Supervise CNAs or unlicensed
assistive personnel when applicable
Participate in ongoing education to stay current with nursing
best practices
Perform other duties as assigned by management
